Boden.... really annoying me

I made 1 purchase from Boden in June (my first ever and now last)- via Mumsnet actually.... since then I am INUNDATED (I mean one every week or so) of catalogues from them or others they clearly have supplied my address with... got another new catalogue today.

Have tried since last week - daily - to contact them via their website but thir "conatct us" page does not work. "500 Internal Server Error 500 Internal Server Error
B is for Bit of a boo boo"
I refuse to spend a penny on an 0845 number for a company that annoys me so much.

When I first ordered online I did not see an option for them to give my details to others... but clearly they feel like they can... I would have said no.... as I always do. What a waste of trees all these catalogues too!

Any suggestions.... anyone have an e-mail address for Boden ?

BTW - as there is a code next to my address I can easily spot that it comes from Boden's mailing list!

i can get on to their contact us page

it's one of those where you fill in fields on screen rather than sending a mail from your email account so there's no em address for me to give you

if you email me your details at mrs dot tutter at hotmail dot co dot uk i can send a message on your behalf?

(i did this myself as was sick o getting the brochures)

pupuce · 25/10/2006 11:40

You can fill in the page but when you press proceed you get an error message

ah

not sure i can help then

you could always have a crack at [email protected] and see what happens

ellceeell · 25/10/2006 12:08

Try [email protected]

franke · 25/10/2006 12:09

They give a normal 'phone number for their International customers - somewhere in one of their catalogues - you could use that. (Is 0845 not free anymore then?)

pupuce · 25/10/2006 12:13

I thought that was local rate - not free....
It's just a question of principle... I should not have to pay to complain!

I quite agree pupuce, but from my experience, dealing directly with a human being (and Boden does at least employ human beings) is the only way to get these sort of cock ups straightened out.

ellceeell · 25/10/2006 12:40

I feel somewhat invisible - did you see the email address I gave below? It comes from this page (scroll down)

Sorry, I think I came across a bit stroppy - halfway through half term and I'm feeling stressed!

pupuce · 25/10/2006 19:02

Well I have had replies to 2 e-mails sent but I now need to chase up the 4 or 5 other companies sending me catalogues I don't want... we'll see if Boden does indeed stop sending me catalogues!

I had to cancel loads when we emigrated - most probably came because of Boxden but they were all pretty good at stopping when i contacted them apart from Vertbaudet who still inundate my lodgers!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 25/10/2006 19:24

We did have an option to opt out of receiving info from companies other than boden.
Also, I think they are looking into the catalogue thing as they sent us an email last month asking us if we would be happy to receive just two catalogues a year (spring/summer and autumn/winter) instead of a catalogue every few months...

SueW · 25/10/2006 19:47

pupuce the code next to your address is probably one used by the mailing house not a reference for boden. It's kind of like a postcode.

You will be able to stop them all - altho it may take a few months - by registering with MPS .

And if you haven't already, opt out of the royal mail's hand-delviered junk here

pupuce · 25/10/2006 20:28

Thanks Sue... I know these are from Boden's mailing list as

  1. Never got any before I ordered from Boden
  2. They are clearly aimed at Boden type clientele!!!!
