as last time, it rocketed during the night to 104, and she had rigour fits, and ended up in hospital. She is 6 at the moment, and the last time was a couple of years ago, so I am hoping she has outgrown it, but I know I will be uneasy all night!!

sympathies, my ds used to convulse at quite modest temperatures as a young child up to age 4, he did outgrow it I think... but even now he is 12 and big and when he gets a temp it knocks him sideways for days
DD on the other hand can rocket around the house with a stemaing temperature.
I hope your dd is ok overnight - are you able to give her paracetamol and ibuprofen to help keep temp stable?

oh I feel for you my dd ahd febrile convulsions when she was younger. Would you feel better if she slept beside you and your dp slept in another room. That was you might be able to relax and get some sleep.

Thanks for your concerns. I think if she wakes up during the evening I will pop her into our bed, at least then I can keep an eye on her. Trouble is, she always (understandably) wants a cuddle, and I was told at the hospital not to do that as it will only add my body temperature into the mix so to speak, but it is really hard not to give them a big hug when they are so poorly!!

hope you had a good night last night.

Thanks Daisy, sorry I did not reply, couldn't get near the computer due to dh working from home!! DD1 has tonsilitis, she was sick during the night that first night and again last night. She actually seems to be getting worse, so I am taking her to the doctors tomorrow!! Luckily, no fits though!! {phew!!}
