Please help dd has headlice again. Really fed up with this. Gone back to school and re-infected.
I have tried almost everything and tea tree does not seem to be working. Any alternatives I can use that might work? Please note she has also used the tea tree spray that you leave in the hair to keep headlice away obviously hasn't worked. larsxx

Lars - I remember you on my previous thread. The only good advice I can give is to buy some lotion called Malathion. We had letters home from dd's school after I had complained that she was being re-infected. I was combing them through nightly for a fortnight and had tried 2 other treatments. Anyway the letter home said that our local health authority only recommended Malathion as the only treatment that actually worked. The other treatments are a waste of money apparently. They also recommended the combing through with conditioner. Malathion is q. expensive at £9 (think you can get it from your gp though!) for 2 applications. It, touch wood, worked for us. You have to leave it on over-night and it is quite strong but than god it did the job! Good luck!!!

Thanks KPB for that. I will try it and hopefully it will keep the beasts at bay. larsxx

Good luck lars, I really hope that it works. I know what a nightmare they can be. Just to warn you that it has quite a strong smell, but it's not too unpleasant.xx
