Help
My ds has had 4 haircuts as his hair grows unbelievably fast. The last 2 cuts have been awful as he has developed a terrible fear of having his hair cut. He is petrified and screams uncontrollably with fear from start to finish. This time I have left it for 3 months as I have been dreading going through it again. I now have to have it cut as it is so thick and is covering his eyes and looks awful. I have booked Daisy and Tom as have tried a barber, Trotters, watching us have haircut, letting him play with toy scissors, cutting it myself and nothing helps. Has anyone else been through this and do you have any bright ideas as to what I can do for him?

well Gemg, my ds1, 3, is in a similar boat, can't see out but refuses a haircut.
My Dh just shang-hais him when they are out and about near the barber shop and whips him in there, the barber is good with little boys and the promise of a chuppa chop when it's over does the trick. I say that but I'm not sure how it will actually pan out, you never can tell with small boys.
Is it possible to get his dad to take him, to make it a boys' club type of thing?
HTH, sorry if I have been insensitive of your situtation but I'm not sure if we've chatted before

Both good ideas - I did take him with my father though last time and he happily watched him have his haircut and the minute the scissors came near him he went mental. The barbers were really good and just cut it quickly despite the head jerking but it was truely awful. I think maybe the idea of him seeing a friend nearer his age might help. I don't know, I feel like nothing will work...

Try the bribery power of sugar or spiderman toys

That is the best suggestion by far - Noddy may even work the best of all
