a playdate today as my cold has come out full force and I look and feel awful.Got the works ; shivering , achey body , achey face & sneezing everwere. Friend was most grateful as she didnt fnacy 2 weeks or coldy children. Its also so grey and wet Id rather stay in pj's , dont have days iike this anymore with nursury run almost every day & dd2 to feed.WHAT DO I DO WITH dd1 now ??????????arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So how do I make easy bicuits ? Ive got to try and do something today , otherwise dd1 will watch peppa pig all day !!!

Although I just feel like snuggloing on the sofa with her!

oh, let her watch Peppa Pig al;l day, it's not like that's all she does. Let her make her own sandwich for lunch. That's creative.

I've got a great recipe for oat and raisin biscuits which is from delia online...here - really easy for kids to do as well

they look nice tortoiseshell , but dont have oats or nuts or raisins . IM being proper ill and lazeee , cant face the walk up the road all of 3 mins to co op to buy things !

colditz , shes quite good really even with telly on she still , pretends to do coooking , colours at the kitchen table and potters around, all wth little 10 min breaks on the sofa with blankets and cushions!!!
Its me that feels bad when I havent done snything with her , but I just need some rest so badly, all the twice nightly feeding has really caught up with me with this cold thing.

agree today is a day for quality sofa time, but just in case:

easy emergency wet day biscuits:

1oz sugar
2oz butter/marg
3oz flour
cream marg & sugar, stir in flour, knead, roll out, cut out, 10min gas 4.

can also add raisins, choc chips etc, or ice them afterwards.

Have you got butter/flour/icing sugar/cornflour? If so, mix up 200g butter 200g flour, 100g icing sugar, 100g cornflour (those proportions anyway) - in the food processor, (assuming you've got one, otherwise just stir lots), till forms a dough, then either put in greased tin, or make biscuits, cook for about 10-15 mins at 190-200, makes really yummy shortbread.

had some lunch , although dd1 is COVERED In advocado and dressing !!!! Just getting bits together , dd2 now in cot for afternoon nap,but I realsie I havent got baking powder for normal biscuits , will they not work if I dont use it ??

I want to stay in pjs and cant be arsed to knock next door and borrow some!!!

not sure re no baking powder - if they're the type that are meant to rise they might look a bit weird without it but will probably taste fine.

dough in fridge resting and so am I with cup of tea and a breast feed !! DD1 watching big cook little cook in front room and Im gonna watch the rest of what not to wear in conservatory.

Just finished the 3rd lot of dishes , so much so for not being bothered to empty dishwahser, its been a futile lazyness as had to do more washing than if it was empty!. I havent really had any rest today, gotta get some more washing on too arggggggghhhhhhh , may be I shud hve just gone and spread my germs everywere !!!!!!!!!

I forgot to grease the baking sheet, well the foil as baking sheet is BLEURGH , dd1 's gonna be right peed off with me if these all stick OOPs !! Ive got another batch to do , can I bake them on baking paper, feel like a right idiot havent done this for years and years andyears!!!

Dd1 is pulling on my arm desparate to ice these biccies , theyve come out ok actually , sitting on cool rack. Havent a clue if theyll taste ok though !!!

Feel like shito now as didnt stop all day and me and dd1 kept falling out as she wouldnt listen when I said to not ; throw flour everywere, pull the dough apart and put bits all over the floor and sprinkle tub as she had the lid open and nearly emptied contents everywere.
