you can shop online,make friends online,have sex online...and there are these role playing games where people seem to genuinley believe they are some kind of powerful warrior etc.is it going to get to the stage where people just stop leaving their homes altogether and just live through a pc???

i was looking at dp who was happy and excited at having got upto the next level on his rpg thinking 'that is so sad'.i never even considered my own mn addiction

doubt it! my eyes hurt after too much time on the pc it'll probably get worse with age!

i honestly dont know,i only meant this tongue in cheek having observed dp and this game,which people take so seriously,and having observed chatrooms in the past where people genuinley believe they are in love with/having a relationship with,somebody they've never even met in rl

of course,making genuine friends on mn whom you havent met in rl is perfectly acceptable
