Where I come from that word is what you do when you've smoked too much pot Which is how my DH looks like when X-Factor is on. I think it is often used in a different context though.

I assume in a Downs syndroms context maybe then....alhtough can't say I have ever heard it used over here, but in Germany people used to call people with Down syndrom "Mongolchen" which is obviously completely un pc and rightly so...

My dc's either watch CBeebies or DVD/videos because of the ad-factor. I must say this really pays of during x-mas or @ b'days, because their wishlist is always innocently short and simple, compared to my friend's children's lists.
They're allowed to watch TV from 5pm and my 5 year old actually doesn't like CBBC as it has too many programmes with real people rather than puppets. Favourites are Lunar Jim, Charlie & Lola and Our Planet.
Personally I do personally hate the bedtime hour. Why do I have to hear the Fimbles and the Story Makers every day. Can't they change the schedule every so often? I've truly grown to hate the Fimbles.

Ds is nearly 11 months and loves Balamory, Tikibella, Teletubbies, and the list is endless. But even more worrying is that he's at home with the nanny who doesn't always keep Cbeebs on so he knows most of the songs on TMF to which he merrily dances along. His current favourite is 'Promiscuous' by Nelly Furtado.
PS: Also loves all of the insurance ads as well as Sheila's Wheels.

3/4 hour in the morning, bedtime hour. A true lifesaver and worth every penny of the licence, I would be watching the same old DVDs without it... ENOUGH ICE AGE ALREADY!!!

2.6 year old ds watches Milkshake from Noddy til it finishes at 9am and then I watch The Wright Stuff (guess what I'm doing now!!)
