Any ideas? Clothes here fit tiny stick insects and she currently fits clothes for an 8 year old. She's about 1m 25 tall and weighs about 27 kilos. Have used Mini Boden and Children's Warehouse in the past, but looking to broaden horizons (ALL children at her school seem to wear Boden!)

Where is "here" that stick insects live? Are you in France?

If not, try some French sites - I like Cyrillus here - and I've seen lots of recommendations for Vertbaudet. My ds (just 5) is jolly big and the Cyrillus school shirts (age 6 I think) fit him well.

Binky, thanks,we have Cyrillus shops here but have not found anything to fit DD there. All their clothes seem to be very structured...elastic waists are what is needed!

tanzie · 21/04/2004 21:28

ooooh - go to
boden

These guys are the business in elasticated waists !!!

crystaltips · 21/04/2004 21:32

nutcracker .....
verbaudet

They have waists where you can pull in the waists !!

HTH

CT - Some of the Boden ones look lovely but they have ages 5-6 and then go to 7-8. I think one would be too small and the other be enormous even with elasticated waist.

The other link doesn't appear to work.

Tanzie , i would buy them all off you but your dd is abit older than mine.

Tanzie, there was a thread recently about ordering direct from Gymboree in the USA. Their clothes are well-made and seem, ahem, broader than French-made stuff. Dd, who is a long streak baby, is in 6-12 for Gymboree and Baby Gap with huge quantities of flapping cloth at sides, and 12-18 Absorba and Petit Bateau, which fit her much better.
I think Gymboree go up to 8 and their girl's stuff is jolly pretty.

Gosh...my DS2 is a right porky then...I find Vertbaudet things a bit tight round the middle for him...

crystaltips · 22/04/2004 11:14

nooo dinosaur - verbaudet would be slim fit .... I find that french clothes are slightly neater
