now then my boys aged 9 and 10 decided they wanted school dinners this year so from sept i have paid for them
they have been telling me different stories overr the past week of how they have no choice in their meals and get whats left

monday the 10yr old wanted a cake and dinner lady said no he couldnt have it as it was hers and then proceded to eat the cake in front of him

yesterday there were two baked potatoes left and dinner lady said that they were for her and her helper and they couldnt have them so they had pizza again

i've not said anything yet but i feel upset for the boys this is a type of bulling, would you go to the head?

I definitely would.

If the dinner lady is refusing to give children the food they prefer because she has earmarked it for herself, that's dreadful!

And eating the cake in front of your son.

How classy is she?

I think you need to check the story first - not that I think you should doubt what they are telling you but perhaps have a chat with other mums whose children have school dinners and see if they are having trouble as well.

Also, there is normally a teacher (or lunch time superviser) on duty at hot dinners so I wonder if you could find out who this was and ask them to keep an eye on what is going on.

yes its the dep head and nursery nurse on duty at lunch time

its a good idea to ask other parents or children about the dinner ladys

just thought it funny for both of them to say the same thing and at their age they shouldnt be making storys up but they can add on

i knew you lot would have good ideas you always do thanks
