What's this toy, where can I get it?

It's a plastic box which contains smaller plastic cubes with puzzles / pictures on each face and one face is a kind off shape sorter thing, the shapes are kept at either end of the big outer box.
DD plays with this for Hours at a friend's house, friend doesn't know what it is called (it was a present for her daughter) and the one she has doesn't have a name / make on it.
The only thing I can find in the whole of the world (that's what it feels like any way) is this on Ebay, it is virtually the same just has different pictures and colours (and not made by Tomy) I have searched the net but can't find it or similar one anywhere and would like to get one by the weekend so this one on Ebay is going to end to late for me.

Any body know? Please.

Have you tried the Tomy website?

MacdogOnElmStreet · 17/10/2006 20:47

Do you remember any of the pictures on the cubes?
DD had one very similar when she was little, it was a gift, from her chidminer, so I don't know where it came from.

slaughterfalls · 17/10/2006 20:52

Oh I see, its not the Tomy one you want.

GeorgieVickyLou · 17/10/2006 20:53

Looked on the Tomy website when i found the one on Ebay but no joy.

All i can remember from the one my friend has it's that it is a light green colour which dosen't help much.

We used to have one that was Thomas the Tank engine. Two different pictures, numbers and dots etc. We got it from Woolworths about 7 years ago.

Did your friends blocks have a particular charater on them? You might have more luck searching a character name and plastic blocks.

Good luck. My kids and my mindees loved them.

It's not this thing is it (you need to go to page 22, and 2nd from the top - 'shape sorter puzzle').

That one on ebay has no bids yet, why dont you email them and ask if they can sell to you and end the auction early, offer them a reasonable price.

MacdogOnElmStreet · 17/10/2006 21:02

the fisher price one in the basket thing looks good too.

Do you think asking the ebay one might work, could always give it a go.

Thanks all, starting to see this as a nice toy again now.

Oh no - it looks as though that one on the Dorset For You website is actually a toy library, so not available to buy - sorry.

GeorgieVickyLou · 17/10/2006 21:13

This toy has it in for me. Why do they do it, find a toy that they love to play with that has vanished out of your buying reach

I'll have to Email the Ebay seller, fingers crossed!

yes email them, I have before, and they ended the auction for me, I think its quite common.
