All you need is a micro phone and speakers, go for it, it is fab and allows me to keep in contact with my family for free.

I have a headset on the pc but I just use the ordinary stuff on the laptop, headset is probably better but not vital.

Yorkie- have you cracked this? I have downloaded the soft ware, found a headset I think came with my webcam and can call the 2 other people I know whop have it BUT can't speak to them. I can hear the ringing tone thro' the speakers but the mike thing is my problem. did you get a skype handset?
