At risk of revealing my web ignorance/indifference.....would anyone know of web sites that one can play games on with little ones? In this case, my 6 y.o. dd? I have a laptop without extra plug-in controls....am I being absurd??? Thanks

We use cbeebies (&poss cbbc for a little 6yr old?). If you google Oxford Reading Tree there are some games on that site too (educational) which my DDs are a little young for but 6 might be about right.

We like Poisson Rouge . Really really gorgeous games.

At her age, she's old enough for Star Wars Lego (or Lego II), which are lovely, but of course not free ... might not work on a laptop, come to think of it. Pity, because they allow two-person play, which can be great fun.

DD (4) usually is glued to Nick Jr , cbeebies , Barbie.com and My Littel Pony just for starters
