Hiya...
Just had Moben round for a quote (dont worry, im not going with them!) and she said about £8,000. What would that translate roughly into Ikea prices? Anyone had about that quote, and got one from ikea instead?

Thanks!

(will got to Ikea myself and get a quote, but, its abit of a journey!)

ok well my kitchends direct quote (kitchens direct and moben are essentially the same, except moben have show rooms so are more expensive (as the gyy told me when i questioned why 'his' kitchens and thise in the moben brochure were identical )) was about £7000

i can get a 'cheap' ikea version for about £800 or a nicer one for about £1500.... + the cost of fitting and re doing the plumbing (for a dishwasher) and the cost of moving the oven power supply + the cost of a couple of extra pkug sockets!

Needless to say im doing the ikea version...

also the kitchens direct one was 'ok' but i cant say really loved it IUKWIM, it was more a case of no way, hate that and had a couple that i could 'live with' left over!

also u can use the ikea kitchen planner

download it and you can do it all online etc in the comfort of your own home!

sorry me again...

AND ikea has a 10 year garantee as opposed to 5 years!

DH buys and does up houses and we have bought IKEA for the last three places he's done. They're a bit crap if you need to get hold of them post-sale and they aren't 100% reliable RE delivery but never had any probs with the quality and they are excellent value for money. Word of advice: buy your work top from IKEA too as their units are I believe an irregulat depth. Their solid wood ones are beautiful and v good value.

No idea how much it would cost you, would recommend doing the online kitchen planner thing as NannyL suggests. I bet it comes in at well under £2000! (Don't quote me there!)

well, there was already 50.75% off...

She was a horrible woman, I offered a coffee forgot about it, and she peered into an empty mug and said "is this my coffee? Have I had my coffee?"

Cow.
