Question about Deal Or No Deal

Does anyone know how long people have to wait until they get their chance to play? This always bugs me when I watch it because surely some of these people have jobs. How on earth do they get the time off? Presumably several shows are recorded in a day, but even so there are some contestants who are on it for weeks. That's all.

That has bugged me as well! I think they just have to wait until they are called, however long that is. God knows what they do about jobs. Maybe they get paid just to be on it

i think they have 3-4 weeks booked off work. there was one guy who gave up work to go on! even when they have had their turn they still stay until the end when everyone has had a turn.

oh my mum says i'm wrong. when you've played you leave then another person takes their place. so yes, you are right, some are on for ages. mum also reckons that they record 3 in a day for a week then have a week off. so knows everything!

but she says what did the woman win today cos she missed it!

I missed it aswell so they probaly won big money. Everytime I watch the poor contestant goes away with next to nothing. I must be a jinx!

She dealt at £8,500, but next offer would have been £30k, as she ended up with just £750 and £100,000. Her box had £750 in it.
