Hi All,

will share this link to a wonderful, inspiring if very upsetting slideshow

live life then give life slideshow
Me and dh both are organ donors, and we have already talked about the...if the worst was to happen to any of our children scenario, and both agree that we would donate our Kids organs, too, because we both feel, that at least something positive would come from their deaths...iykwim....! We felt it was better to talk about this now, rather then at a time when we would be faced with so much upset and emotions that, to make such a decision then and talk about it then would just be tooo much! I suppose, it's only fair really, as, if anyone of us would need an organ we would be only to willing to accept that gift of life!

Must say, for many years I was not to sure about this and I only signed up recently!

Have just clicked on the link - what a powerful slideshow! Have often thought about becoming a doner but have never been too sure, largely because i dont want to think about death. Will sign up soon after seeing that video!

jasnDISMemBERED · 13/10/2006 22:48

I'm already on the register, but if I wasn't this would persuade me...

3andnomore · 14/10/2006 10:45

Oh, had read some thread of misdee, but well, always felt awkard to reply, because, well, because I am new and it's sort of a personal thing they are going through...probably silly of me...can't explain it!
Didn't realise that her hubbie was part of the slideshownor that another mnetters dp was in it!

misdee put this up herself this week in fact - I saw Peter but didn't realise Lucy (is the little girl called Lucy?) was on there too, she would be the one with the proud gappy smile? Doesn't she look fantastic!

It is a very powerful clip - so painfully sad to see the ones whose chance never came.

misdee · 15/10/2006 09:43

yes peter is the man in there, who is still waiting. its now on youtube as well.

misdee · 15/10/2006 09:44
