How utterly disgusting,poor you
I loathe birds.

BudaBeast · 13/10/2006 12:56

Oh yuck - poor you! I hate birds too - only film that's ever given me nightmares was "The Birds".

mumandlovingit · 13/10/2006 13:06

you hear about people beeing pooed on by birds but not hit in the face!

my friend asked me how the bird was, i said i didnt know and didnt even check as it fell to the ground.

i was more worried about my face!

Was it a magpie?

one for sorrow
two for joy

Tinkerbel5 · 13/10/2006 14:50

mumand are you ok ? have you had a tenus jab recently, if not it might be an option, wish you better

Gingeme · 13/10/2006 15:21

OUch! Ive been ppohed on by a seagull before but never hit by a bird
Waterfalls it goes like this:
One for sorrow
Two for joy
Three for a girl
Four for a boy
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told.

suzywong · 13/10/2006 15:23

Australian magpies are total bastards around nesting time
They swoop which means bomb it right at you with the expres intent of pecking out your eyes. Many people get bloody wounds in the face and scalp.
Apparently the trick is to wear your sunnies on the back of your head which confuses them as they don't know which eyes to go for.
Bastards, I bloody hate them.

madmarchscare · 13/10/2006 15:23

Just to make you bird haters feel better, my BIL was playing golf and knocked a crow out of the sky and killed it.

mumandlovingit · 13/10/2006 17:16

i went back to my mums and there was feathers all over the place so i think it hurt itself when it hit me and has now been got by a cat.

it looks like its just a small cut by the bird, dont think a tetanus will be needed.dont know how often you need one of those but i has one in 2000 when i was bitten by a rottweiler so i dont know if im covered still??

bruising isnt coming out well, just giving me splitting headache and earache instead.

looked like blackbirds or something to me.they weren't huge birds but they were black.was a bigger one and then the one that hit me.

just my luck realy, i dont have much luck with animals!

Could have been a crow! They fight with magpies all the time. We hear them cawing and clicking at eachother all the time fighting over food or nests. Even seen crows attack pidgeons and even cats
Hope your feeling better. Take some paracetamol and use some tcp on the cut. x

mumandlovingit · 13/10/2006 17:23

taken a strong co codamol and ibuprofen for it.its the only thing that wil sort my head out as i get migraines alot.just makes it so i cant drive though as it makes me woozy.

Sorry mumandlovingit but your opening thread and title really made me laugh. Very funny. I must like slapstick or something.

Reminds me of when I was a bit bonkers in the nut after having dd2 on a cold cloudy winter's day, pushing the ruddy double buggy to some godawful M&T. A flock of seagulls flew overhead and about half of them pooed on me at once. I was covered, all over my hair and duffle coat. Yes, duffle coat. I was bonkers I tell you.
