Dumb car question....

We have a VW Polo. When I start the car, the word "oil" flashes where the mileage is usually displayed (the one you can reset). Just for a while and disappears after a bit. Have checked the dipstick and there is enough in there so what do I need to do?

Need to drive 200 miles over the weekend and want the car to be ok!!

Anyone?

my car does this every time i turn it on, but it's supposed to.
maybe yours does too and you've only just noticed it?

Yeah the oil picture lights up on my car every time i turn it on then goes off again. I assume its supposed to cos it does everytime and theres plenty of oil in it
