How do I stop unwanted e mails coming seemingly from nowhere onto my computer I recieved one today which was really horrible and I don't know where it came from

try mailwasher, you can download it for free the register one email address. if you want more addys added you have to pay.
mailwasher can then bounce them telling the sender that your address doesn't exist.then hopefully they stop
