I am so embarrassed Had to go to doctors today (booked to see a female one) cos I had an allergic reaction to a vibrator. Anyway turned up and it turned out that GP was of sick so had to see a male one instead, who in turn was a young very good looking trainee GP. There's me feeling 'mumsy' and middle aged in my trackie bottoms with baby puke down my top trying to explain what I might have reacted too... sigh...

OMG there is no way I could have admitted to that, sorry

Peanutgant · 10/10/2006 12:15

Oh I didn't admit to it, fluffed my way through a mumbled excuse about new bubble bath

how embarrassing!

expatinscotland · 10/10/2006 12:21

Did you check to see if he was aroused?

ClarissasMerrylegs · 10/10/2006 12:22

my sis is a nurse and honestly theyve seen it all before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she did training at a genito-urinary/std place and gosh, the stories made my eyes water!

ginmummy · 10/10/2006 12:22

That's rather embarrassing! As a generation we're getting better at talking to a doctor about personal things but admitting that you masturbate is still pretty taboo, even though most people do it!

Next time put a condom on your rabbit! Or say you've had an allergic reaction to condoms - just as intimate and likely a story!

Poor you!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 10/10/2006 12:24

Bad enough having an unexpected check by GP/hospital when you've neglected the area for... awhile The word quiff doesnt do it justice!

ginmummy · 10/10/2006 12:31

Better than the word whiff though!

Peanutgant · 10/10/2006 13:11

Expat - TBH he looked slightly scared

Please don't tell me that new docs have to a keep a record or write any projects about cases they have seen....

QueenQootie - LOL. Because it was an 'urgent' case as such I had neglected to be do any downstairs topiary, poor bloke was prob thinking no wonder she needs a vibrator no man will look twice at her looking like that!

When I worked in a path lab we once had a trauma call where a woman had gotten the lid from a can of Impulse spray stuck up her bottom. Trust me, the doctors have seen it all before.

It's just the bit of what caused the allergic reaction that would be so mortifying to explain to anyone else! I mean, suppose you had a severe allergic reaction and went into anaphylactic shock and the doctors had to tell your mother and father how you came to have this severe allergic reaction?! It doesn't bear thinking about!

Peanutgant · 10/10/2006 18:41

I know I don't want to probably know this but why would you stick the lid of a can of Impulse up your bum!!??

ClarrisasMerrylegs, do tell!

Peanutgant, thank you, now not have to go through the embarrassment of buying one - amazing the things that can happen!

expatinscotland · 11/10/2006 12:48

at the Impulse spray!

evilanniedividedin2byalargeaxe · 11/10/2006 12:52

Peanut, I'm guessing the whole can was up there at some point, but the lid came off on er...exit.

waterfalls · 11/10/2006 12:56

An impulse can she would have been far more traumatised had it exploded from heat due to .....erm............friction

waterfalls · 11/10/2006 12:58

A friend of mine had to visit her gp once after her boyfriend decided it would be better to peel the banana

Peanutgant · 11/10/2006 15:37

waterfalls - [grin}
