It annoys me too flopsy, if I had the tech skills I'd correct it! The error that really gets to me is accept/except, which is annoying in general but occasionally results in someone saying the complete opposite of what they mean.

You're doing a fine job of distracting Porthos there, by the look on his face, correct use of English is the last thing on his mind Grin

GoodQueenWenchAnneLass · 06/12/2014 22:37

Fancy - the others have had it thankfully. Bit sad that it looks like he will miss all of the Christmas fun at nursery.

Fingers firmly crossed that he doesn't get actually poorly.

IsawMommyFolknSantaClaus · 06/12/2014 22:37

Aha! elky

IsawMommyFolknSantaClaus · 06/12/2014 22:40

Although, actually you aren't doing Porthos any more are you?
Xmas Sad

Come on, let's go find some ice cream and lick it off something. You decide what.

GoTellItToTheMavis · 06/12/2014 22:41

Oh bloody hell Flops that was magnificent. why does that never happen to me?? Xmas Sad

SantisLittleHelper · 06/12/2014 22:41

IsawMommyFolknSantaClaus · 06/12/2014 22:42

Aww anne Hopefully he will only get it mildly.

That depends on how lazy you are drink. Those duvet sets that have a thin one & a medium one that can be joined together for winter use are good if you are organised and if the weather wasn't so bloody unpredictable. If you're lazy like me you buy something around 9 or 10 togs and provide an assortment of pyjama types, blankets, fleecy bed socks and cats for the really cold nights.

GoTellItToTheMavis · 06/12/2014 22:45

Here's me at my new desk.

Thanks for that Flops, you're getting really good at that. Got the bungee sorted and everything.

FancyFancy · 06/12/2014 22:50

Oh that'll be a shame if he misses the fun stuff anne, I just hope it's a mild dose & that his nursery has a sensible policy on when he can return, some can be very overcautious.

FlopsyTheSnowman · 06/12/2014 22:59

Erm mave, that was norah, you know how she gets......

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 06/12/2014 22:59

I'm like you then fancy Xmas Grin. Tbh I have a down conbo like that for myself but as 'tis a season to spend be jolly, she'll have to do with a cheapo one from Amazon. 13,5 i'm thinking. Or 10? What am I thinking? Hmm

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 06/12/2014 23:00

I do not have an assortment of cats! Xmas Shock

FancyFancy · 06/12/2014 23:06

Too many choices? Grin How warm does she get in bed? DD seems fine with about 9 & one cat in the winter. Whereas I'm cursing exH in this weather as he didn't want 13, so I'm left with a 10 which I have to supplement with a hot water bottle & the other cat.

FancyFancy · 06/12/2014 23:10

They're a mixed blessing in bed tbh. Yes they keep my feet warm but now the DCs are old enough to let me lie in at the weekend I get woken by the cats who fight on my bed in the morning. Angry

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 06/12/2014 23:12

In case the one before last message didn't make sense: I have a combo, don't think can afford one for dd at the mo. She gets hot at night tbh. She's sleppung now under a thin quilt and 2 blankets.

FancyFancy · 06/12/2014 23:13

Realise the above makes my house sound like this Punch cartoon

GoTellItToTheMavis · 06/12/2014 23:14

Oh lor, sorry Norah, got you mixed up with Flops there . Difficult to tell you apart all tangled up like that with Porthos. Difficulty in telling arse from elbow as it were.

Anyhow I'm off to bed. . Night all.

FlopsyTheSnowman · 06/12/2014 23:16

Well saved mave. Night all.

FancyFancy · 06/12/2014 23:20

Don't worry, it did made sense. It's probably not worth getting anything expensive for a young child (not sure how old your DD is?) in case of stomach bugs/bed wetting. It's not so heartbreaking to bin a cheap duvet if the worst happens.

You can always add blankets, but nothing annoys me more than being so hot that I have to throw the duvet off. I can't sleep with no cover on as I don't feel safe. I realise this is totally irrational

RudolphTheRedNosedElk · 06/12/2014 23:30

MlleElk has a silent night feather combo one from Argos. It didn't cost very much at all, is good quality and goes in the wash almost every day and survives. She also gets hot at night, but he bedroom is freezing in winter so having one that splits is v useful.

FancyFancy · 06/12/2014 23:37

Do you have a large capacity washing machine elk? And do you need to tumble dry the duvet? I'd love to be able to wash duvets at home but have been too chicken to try it.

RudolphTheRedNosedElk · 06/12/2014 23:53

Yes and yes fancy, but being a single it would prob fit in an ordinary sized machine, esp if you only needed to do half of it. I wouldn't attempt anything larger though....ours goes to the laundrette.
