I'm soooo angry with both of them I need to vent on here before I start the phonecalls!

We moved into this house on 21st Aug. Called BT to get the phone put on, got talked in to choosing an 'option' with some add ons etc. I was arranging broadband with NTL but they cocked it up so thought I'd go for BT broadband instead. Ordered it. NTL got their a**e into gear, cancelled BT broadband. BT charged me for the modem/hub/phones anyway and after about 50 emails and phonecalls refused to refund me for the broadband and had put it to my bill instead .

NTL made such a mess of getting broadband installed they offered me the first 3 months free and then the 3months half price in order to stop me cancelling. Fine. Except they have now taken £30 from my bank. When I rang them to get it put back I got "Well how about leave it and we'll give you 6 months half price instead of 3 months free/3 months half price. Then said they have refunded me and amended next months so it will charge £17.99 but overwrite itself and not charge me. Yeah right. Direct debit cancelled. Cheeky f*ers.

The postman has just been and delivered me a bill for BT broadband!!!!!

Are they always like this??!!

Ooh - forgot something else.... My BT bill is quarterly. On the breakdown it says:

21 Aug - 30 sep - New charges for BT Togehter option 2 evening and weekend plan..... £38.16

1 Oct - 31 Dec - Charges in advance for BT Together option 2 evening and weekend plan comprises line rental.

Can anyone explain? how they work it out? Is it right that I've been charged the same amount for 6 weeks as I am for 3 months?

(Obviously I will ring them but want to have my facts right before I go charging in!)

Nope not just you. I think BT are rip off rob dogs. I've moved my calls to someone who gives me free just about everything but mobile and international calls - they estimated my charges at £9.79 or something a month but this month for some reason they've paid me £1.76. Still pay line rental to BT and resent every single penny but at least that's all they get. The gits.
