Rumours and musings from Digital Spy re start date:
^"NEW YEAR'S DAY ON BBC1 (Current schedule)
6.30 Esio Trot
8.00 EastEnders
9.00 Miranda 2/2
9.30 Mrs Browns Boys 2/2
Sunday 28th - Tuesday 30th at 9pm Mapp and Lucia
This leaves December 27th (Saturday) which is unlikely due to Brucie's Hall of Fame getting the key prime time slot, so, with all that the only slot free, and it's a BIG BIG slot and potentially the BEST slot it could be given for giving the show a major second series boost, is
BOXING DAY at 9pm. Straight after Still Open Hours.
So, I predict, The Musketeers will start at 9pm on Boxing Day and will continue on Fridays for its run, leaving Sundays for Call The Midwife and Poldark."^

^"If the BBC Media Centre is correct about the show starting between 27th December and 2nd January, then producer Jessica Pope's latest tweet mentioning "2015" puts it firmly on either the 1st or 2nd January, most likely Friday 2nd.
The first episode also has its press screening this Wednesday, so we might get a sense of how good / OK the new series is from this week onwards. We should also get a trailer soon if 2nd January is the correct airdate."^
Why have they not announced yet?! Keeping us in suspense I hope. Also rumours of a press event next Wednesday. Do you think they mean Paris? Maybe it's the OK launch and they are holding it in Paris, because, well, Paris?
