We actually have some feeble sunshine here

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 10:42

PS - Hugs to all wenches feeling down or with ill DCs

LetUsPrey · 17/11/2014 10:45

Many Thanks Brew Cake to the wenches.

We did have sunshine here but it has been replaced by very ominous dark grey clouds. My first load of washing is about to finish. Coincidence?

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 10:53

Oh my good golly. What did nonny post? Shock did she/he/it out her/him/itself? Shock
Wink

Yes mouse I feel awake and alive in the cooler/cold weather. Although my favourite is cold and crisp and sunny as opposed to cool and meh and wet.

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 10:53

That is no coincidence letus. Nope.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 10:54

Mouse re. snot and snog, you'll have come to late the the Inn to hear the story of when my lovely DS (aged about 18 months) projectile vomited into my open mouth while I was cradling him in my arms.... Shock

Even at the time it was actually hysterically funny. Especially once DH stopped laughing and brought me some water to rinse my mouth out.

LetUs - we are WeatherWenches - our very actions can control the clouds....

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 10:58

ahahahahaha ha, one of mine as a baby was lifted up above someone's face and they were both laughing and then the baby vommed into the adults mouth.
Fucking hilarious to watch. Grin

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 17/11/2014 11:14

Apparently I did that to my sister when I was a baby. The holding up in the air, vomming into the mouth thing. Smile

I live in fear of that happening to me.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 11:23

I think DS's effort was just a milky vom, so not too revolting...

It's like those parent-and-baby photos I've seen links to recently where the angelic naked little baby is lying in parent's arms for an arty photoshoot and is actually pooing/weeing all over said parents. Grin

GoodQueenWenchAnneLass · 17/11/2014 11:31

11.30 and I have managed to read one article. Must speed up.

I have two cooked pheasants from yesterday - what shall I do with them wenches.

I have piles of dry washing that I haven't put away and a basket once again full of dirty stuff, and I keep checking my work emails.

I need to ignore it all and crack on with this reading goddammit.

And Aramis is obviously still here and it's very distracting.

Love to wenches who need it. I dislike winter hugely and feel a bit down but I generally try to look about for positives, so winter is tolerable because I love Christmas. Early next year will be tolerable whilst we plan our spring trip etc.

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 11:31

Does anyone remember that Athena poster of the man with a baby? Apparently he kept getting peed on too!

TheSwedishChristmasMeatball · 17/11/2014 11:36

Anne wench spring trip? Smile

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 11:48

This one?
Nice to have you around more ATM anne.
Am snuggling under small blankets as I make them, Toddler is next to me cuddling me. This is how I know he isn't right, normally I'd have had to rescue him from something, or cleared something he's broken etc etc several times today already.
Am trying to do 5 more colour rows of the one blanket, which shouldn't take too long as it's really quick and easy, but I keep coming back here....
coughnonnycough

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 17/11/2014 12:03

I loved that poster, for some reason it reminds me of the old levis ad. You know, where the bloke strips off in the laundrette.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 12:07

Oh I remember that one Norah - I think I even had a postcard of it Have a lovely snuggle with the Toddler. (Is it bad to say that I love it when DS is at that level of illness, that he's happy to just snuggle quietly on me?! Assuming I'm not trying to work of course...)

Anne make/buy some pastry, strip Aramis the pheasants and make a game pie?

I even have blue sky here - really should have put that washing on, shouldn't I?! Ought to go and dig spuds up though, told DH I would. And I could let the chickens out too...

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 12:10

Yes mouse
I had the poster as a clock that my friends bought me for Christmas. It's still on the loft waiting for batteries. Might get it out, I need a clock down here Wink
Did anyone else have the keanu reeves in the rain point break poster? I did. I liked it. A lot.

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 12:12

Maybe these colours will cheer up everyone's day?
You might need sunglasses.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 12:15

I had the keanu one!!
Bloody hell he was beautiful in that film....
Love the colours Norah :)

TheSwedishChristmasMeatball · 17/11/2014 12:36

Love it Norah!!!!!Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 12:42

Oh Norah that's fab!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR GARDENING WENCHES:
when you plant potatoes, earth them up properly into nice ridges. This will mean that come Autumn when you're digging them up, you know where they're planted and can go out to dig up potatoes. As opposed to go and and dig over the veg patch in the hope of maybe finding some spuds and thus working out where the potato rows are.

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 12:44

He really was wasn't he?

Thank you. It's very bright and fun to choose colours that don't really go together for a change. But it's very happy on a grey day like today.

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 12:46

Lol helen Grin I be they are gorgeous though. We used to have all home grown as kids. I don't have the inclination space to grow much now though.

LetUsPrey · 17/11/2014 13:13

That's lovely Norah!

Clouds blew away and blue skies here now.

Madame - I was going to ask about vacuum cleaner recommendations too! Ours isn't broken but it's not brilliant.

Day off going well so far. Done some errands in town, got an iPhone, put another wash on, had a couple of Brew in peace, and just finished watching A Room With A View. Very nearly sobbing at Denholm Elliott towards the end, but I managed to keep it to a sniffle.

This afternoon I shall be ironing and watching Agents of SHIELD.

How's the hair Cinnamon?

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 13:19

Well I've recorded The Wire to watch, so am hoping to give it a go.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 13:25

LetUs/Madame we have a dyson, which seems to cope with pretty much everything. I once house-shared with someone who had one, and commented that I'd never seen so much stuff come out of the carpet. the cheeky mare commented that I should hoover more often!

And yes Cin, how is the hair, and Apricot's tooth?
