We have a dyson. But no carpets so can't comment on how good it is on a carpet buts it's good on hard floors.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 13:29

Ooooh hysterical Atlantis Review in the Guardian... Mucho snarking.

Didn't watch it, quite glad we didn't bother. Rewatches are much more fun! [poor, tolerant DH]

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 13:35

Off for lunch now and paper-based job.

Laterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 13:38

Not a fan of Atlantis I have to say....it's like mythological downtown...really bad script and plot!
My Hoover is a Henry.
I chat to him as we Hoover away :) Dh thinks I am mad
I have even been known to apologise to him when I bang him on a door jamb thinks Dh may have a point

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 13:41

"The lost shitty of Atlantis"
Hahahahahahaha
Yep.

ApriClausIsComingToTown · 17/11/2014 13:59

There you go Norah ^^ as a thank you for the sunny window in the Christmas corner. How many corners do we have now? And I love the colours in the blanket. I've actually resurrected one of my abandoned half-knitted jumpers.

I have antibiotics for the tooth, but the news is not good. I might have to lose it if the infection comes back. Fortunately it's at the back and won't show. My teeth are a nightmare.

LetUs you are so efficient, it would take me three days to do all that.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 14:42

Ds2 has a pritt stick and glitter and Pom poms.
God help me.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 14:43

Apricot...glad you got Something for the tooth...toothache is very grim indeed.
Don't get dry socket is all I can advise!!

QueenOfNewYorkLyndie · 17/11/2014 14:47

Afternoon all. Norah are you better? LetUs that sounds like an ideal day off, hope it's been restorative. Badders and MrsB hope your unwell ones are better soon. We appear to be in complete health today which is a relief!

GoodQueenWenchAnneLass · 17/11/2014 14:48

LetUs I desperately want to watch it. Going to Amazon now to see if I can buy it.

Norah - I watched the first season of The Wire. I feel asleep during a lot of it, couldn't understand the 'real' Baltimore accent and it was dark - all of the time.

Did anyone watch that detective series with Rufus 'phwoar' Sewell where he was an Italian police man? It was so bright and sunny.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 14:50

Zen?
Yes, I did. LOVE rufous Sewell!
Lyndie...ds2 has just done a normal poo! Hurrah!

RumpledElkSkin · 17/11/2014 14:58

Sorry not to be around very much.

Babyelk has discovered separation anxiety.

It's very obvious to me now how effective sleep deprivation is as a form of torture Hmm.

Am bobbing about and lurking though in an attempt to keep up.....I'm watching you

Oh.....and Athos is under my duvet, in case you were wondering why you'd all got the exploding ones.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 15:02

Oh elk...:(
Remember...."it's just a phase, it's just a phase"
X

RumpledElkSkin · 17/11/2014 15:21

That's mantra that goes continually round and round in my head Badders! Hope you've all recovered.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 15:26

Well...I still feel pretty rough tbh. No runs since yesterday evening but my back and ribs are very sore (?) I wasn't sick so no idea what that is!
Ds2 seems much better but the 48 hour rule means he won't be back at school til weds :(
Just hoping Dh and ds1 dont succumb...

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 15:41

I still feel really rough too, and feel sick every now and then, like it's reminding me of how I had to sit on the bog and barf into a bowl because I had the runs as well as the voms. And not to get too excited that I can perhaps eat now.. Hmm
Headache and aches all over,.
apriclaus I am truly honoured Shock thank you. Thanks
You may not have noticed, but that window opens onto a small balcony. It is either sunny and warm or sunny and cold, depending on what you desire.

Is any fucker going to join me for a Rewatch tonight?

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 17/11/2014 15:55

I feel really ill too. And I had the misfortune to look at an awful charity calendar for a rugby team. It's a post titled "something for the mum's" Hmm

Oily greasy men made me want to throw up. Envy that's my sick face there.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 16:08

What time Norah? What ep?

RumpledElkSkin · 17/11/2014 16:11

Dear me you sickly bunch Sad Envy

Sounds like you all got some sort of flu variant. I had proper flu years ago and it floored me, it felt like my spine had been replaced with acid. MrE was in the US at the time and I was trapped in bed, literally not able to move it was so painful. In desperation I phoned my dad and he posted me some paracetamol Hmm !

So when MrE informs me he feels a bit fluey - which is quite often, he's always rather disappointed with the degree of sympathy I am able to muster Hmm.

Badvocinapeartree · 17/11/2014 16:12

My head feels better but my poor old back Hmm

IntheBleakMiladyBeeeWinter · 17/11/2014 16:14

Hmm. Anyone else with Mumsnet problems? It's letting me know there are new posts to the thread but not letting me read them.

FMP or FMMN depending on who's fault it is.

TheSwedishChristmasMeatball · 17/11/2014 16:20

MN looks really weird on my phone!

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 16:22

Not yet bee Grin.
I'm not sure when, sometime after 8 I think so I can make sure the two younger ones are in bed.
It will be the second one as I missed yesterday's Rewatch.

mouse. I know exactly what you mean re oily greasy men /rugby players.

FolknNorah · 17/11/2014 16:24

Maybe it's the mobile site again?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/11/2014 16:30

MN fine on my laptop. MrsB I don't even get notifications of new posts.... probably just as well considering how bloody annoying FB is bleeping at me all the time.

Sodding cat has been pestering to climb onto my lap (via the laptop), and is now retaliating by sitting in a box, on top of the new manuscript I'm mean to be working on. Argh.... still, it's my copy for working from, so won't matter if it's covered in catprints. But still - arghhhh.
