My work laptop is broken so I am just sat here doing nothing! Ugh!

QueenAnneofAustriaSpain · 11/11/2014 15:09

I like the Goat - it deserves to be a proper noun.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/11/2014 15:24

I'm off to Uppsala to dine with friends at a pub, will probably have fish and chips Smile

MrsBeeee · 11/11/2014 16:04

We had a piper at our Armastice ceremony. Send the shivers up me every time. Still had some arsehole drive right up to the cross where everyone was gathered and sit with engine running for service to finish (road temp closed but very easy to go round another way). Some people are just twats.

Permission to squeeeeeeee for Elk?!!

MrsBeeee · 11/11/2014 16:23

ArmAstice? Armistice

MadamedeChevreuse · 11/11/2014 16:26

I didn't get chance to do a rewatch today and I certainly won't tomorrow Hmm

HannahHorvathWhoGotIBCShoutBtw · 11/11/2014 18:03

Elk that is fantastic news! Couldn't be happier for you xx ((((((((((/)))))))))
How exciting!

LetUsPrey · 11/11/2014 18:13

Evening wenches. Silence observed at work. They fire a cannon or something in our town square to mark the beginning and end of it.

Jess - Vinnie's on his way. Not to you obvs, but to your colleague.

Christmas Goat looks fab!

Elk - that is very very exciting!

Mouse - do you think you need to have words with toddlermouse's nursery? DS2's nursery were very good with him re his speech issues after I'd made quite a bit of a fuss

Speaking of speech therapy, school SENCO finally got hold of our speech therapy service to find out when the next visit will be. Should have been September. His therapist has left, although no one's bothered to pass this info on. Their next question was "well, does he still need it?". Er, perhaps you could assess him yourselves and formally discharge him if appropriate.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/11/2014 18:27

I want the IKEA christmas goat too Smile

ApricotCrush · 11/11/2014 18:29

Very quiet in here this afternoon. All hell will break loose later when I've been summoned to watch TV. "You're not on there again" Hmm

Just done the treadmilling, yes I'm still doing it. Knackered.

Off to cook the meal. Smile

enormouse · 11/11/2014 18:36

I think I'll have to letus. I've already spoken to them once before. Toddlermouse is too young for focused activities and that sort of thing. He just needs plenty of interaction and stopping him from getting frustrated. I get the feeling they're taking the wrong tack.

Oh that's annoying re the therapist. They've made us wait in the hope of toddlermouse's speech difficulties resolving themselves.

Badvoc123 · 11/11/2014 18:46

From experience you have to be one of "those" parents...you have to make as much noise as possible to as many people as possible Wink
In not unrelated news the council has been out today and done the outstanding works on the house Smile and the area manager from the contractors is coming out on Thursday Smile
Mum says it took them 30 mins to do the work...that we've been waiting 7 months for!!!Shock

LetUsPrey · 11/11/2014 18:55

DS2's initial referral was made by our GP. The first appointment was "oh he's at the right stages". He wasn't but I believed it Blush. Made a re-referral myself (which got delayed because of the therapy service trying to say he'd been discharged when he hadn't). Further quite rubbish appointment. I became quite insistent and then spoke to the nursery SENCO and they got involved. This resulted in intensive speech therapy. If you can call an appointment every three months intensive. Anyway about four years later, he's hopefully close to discharge.

Is your GP helpful?

LetUsPrey · 11/11/2014 18:59

Badders - hurrah! Onwards!

I'm going to start a tour of wenches for food, starting with Apricot. What are you cooking Apricot?

Oblomov · 11/11/2014 19:01

Elk! #wenchpower AGAIN! Fantastic news.

We are on fire today Wine

Hello everyone.

enormouse · 11/11/2014 19:29

Helpful in the sense he'll provide a referral if asked. But I'm the one that pushed for it and got a private assessment done as nhs one would have taken ages to come through.

badders fantastic news. So pleased for your mum.

Dinner here was Chinese takeaway - salted chilli chicken.

Mouse! Never mention those two words c take* near me. Sets off the most unbelievable cravings!!! MrC got food poisoning from some shrimp about twenty years ago and is therefore not keen. I love it but rarely have it. Hence, lust. Mmmmm.

FMWAD the problem with me is that despite my bravado I still get work guilt and therefore have had to come straight from work to help at a cubs event. I'm tired, and soooo hungry. Why did I volunteer? Why? Why?

elk squuuueeeeee! Ref the house. And Grin ref the dooo it! Hahahaha love it. Life changing decisions made easy with The musketeers.

Also big round of applause for Badders and the tweeting. Great work. So pleased for you all!!

LOVE the sounds of Madame's work and the last post, and LetUs's cannon, work and MrsB's ceremony. It's really touching. And it's these things which make Britain interesting. Eccentricities and diversity. Love it.

Right laters til when I eventually get gone for tea.

ApricotCrush · 11/11/2014 19:46

Elk I know, that's why I said I was worried this morning. Don't leave us Comtess, I love your manic posts.

Oh that's great news Badders.

LetUs I'm really lazy when it comes to food. 'Cook' wasn't really the right word, more 'heat up'. It has to be quick for me, although I do sometimes do meals from scratch. We had Sainsbo's Taste the Difference Cottage Pie with their creamed cabbage and a tin of peas, and really thick Bisto gravy. It's very tasty, DH loves it.

ApricotCrush · 11/11/2014 19:48

Aaaah x-post Comtess Grin
