White school socks only look white...

..for one day. After that they look crap really don't they? Maybe it's just us. I think they should invent disposable ones. A new pair each day.

I'm also fed up trying to match up the different sizes after they've been washed.

We've had short socks from M&S and I have to say, they still look white. Which is surprising, given how my daughter treats her clothes.

I was just thinking the very same thing whilst rolling dd1's into pairs,they are M&S ones!!

wash them in curtain whitner - the supermarkets glowhites or the supermarkets do their own brands. you just drop the sachet in the machine add soap powder. we use non bio normally so I just put an extra rinse on. works a treat on most white things that go grey including socks.
