blogs-can anyone enlighten me?

I have been reading a few blogs online in the past few days. and it is like discovering a whole new world! i like the ones which show other peoples houses (Aren't I nosy?) and i like the craft ones too.
I think they are hosted by Typepad. But I know there is MySpace too but isn't this mainly used by teenagers? I am confused. . .
How do you do a search to find other bloggers using a keyword(s)? I would like an easy way to find the ones I like.
Am I making sense? Probably not.

I use Wordpress . I've used Livejournal in the past and I know a few people with Blogspot blogs.

If you google "blog directory" you should find a few sites that you can register your blog with to get more traffic. Technorati is a popular one.

Blogger is very popular, but I know it can be tempramental sometimes-- especially when posting a lot of pictures. I find it pretty easy to use for my purposes though.
