How can I convert a pdf file to word?

am i being dense? can't you just press the text button at the top, highlight everything and then copy and paste the text? i'm not sure though, i hate pdf files so there is probably a better way.

I think aiieeeetch is right - copy and paste the text into a new word document.

it depends where the pdf came from. I have sometimes tried this and I believe some pdfs are protected and you can't copy and paste, but some you can.

Yes we had a major headache with one a couple of months ago. DH was doing a job application.

In the end we had to download something called Very PDF to deal with it.

its a file which basically looks like a scanned document, so you can look at leaflets, documents etc in their original form. in a nutshell.

it will come up in a notepad file which you can then cut & paste to a word doc
