What time of day? Just you, or with kids?
Catch a well-timed film at the Clapham Picture House? Settle down with a good book at Gastro (opposite)or Cafe Wanda (a few doors down from Sainsbury's)or Tea Time (on The Pavement). Shopping along 'The Pavement', and through into the Old Town. Walk across the Common to Oom Pa Pa (cafe near the bandstand), Take swimming things and visit the Pool (I think it is further along VennSt, but not sure), Book a massage at the Clapham Natural Health Clinic (that might not be the accurate name...anyone else?).

Nice boutiquey/gifty type shops on Abbeville Road (runs parallell to Clapham Common East Side) - Tessa Fantoni, Wilson and The Abbey - also a little beauty place called Tranquility where you could book treatment - good manicure girl there.

spacemonkey · 13/04/2004 16:58

thanks lamin and blu

Lamin's Tranquility is probably a better bet for a 'pampering' sort of treat - the clinic is a bit clinic-y, health rather than spa, iykwim.

I forgot about the Natural Health Clinic Monkey, dh used to have float tank sessions there. You could always wander down to clapham junction and look around the shops.
