i don't think all men want it. what does someone look like, who looks like she wants to be peed on? really? i'm sure you don't look like that-whatever that is!!!!!!

oh i'm sorry to laugh but it's so funny. you should write a book about your adventures1

Just caught up on this and sorry but i'm pmsl.
I do feel sorry for you though, its a pain trying to find someone nice out there, i'm doing internet dating atm and hoping that the person i've been chatting to isn't like the one you've just met up with.
Good luck

maggiesmama · 05/10/2006 14:14

Lrkids · 05/10/2006 14:38

Sorry for laughing, think I would hope that the ground would swallow me up if it happened to me.
It was girlsdateforfree that we met on, but we now talk on messenger. Which one is it that you are using?

maggiesmama · 05/10/2006 14:54

hey

only teasing, and i'm laughing too!

i'm doing the guardian one.

so - you gonna meet your boy???

mamamaaargh · 05/10/2006 14:56

NOoooooo. Do people really do that? And like it? Ick! Or maybe I'm just too old fashioned. My mum always told us that you can't say you don't like something until you try it. I don't think she was talking about that kind of thing though! Now I can't think about anything else!

Lrkids · 05/10/2006 16:06

Probably will meet up yes, as he put it a couple of weeks ago we seem to have 'clicked' so far. I'm just worried that once he sees me in rl he'll run a mile, even though hes already seen a picture of me.
How do you get the courage to meet up with people? I'm really shy and would love to meet him but part of me still says no and runs a mile lol.

maggiesmama · 05/10/2006 16:23

fair point...

actually i mostly dont find it so scary now. that maybe because i have been on a fair few dates (damn, i'm fussy. or not prepared to swallow piss. whichever) or maybe because i havent been truly excited about meeting anyone for a while. i think there are lots of reasons for doing dating, and i think one is learning to handle it, and another is finding out what is important to you in a partner.

i guess he'll be nervous too.

also, i would say from experience that aeons of msn tends to mean you have very strong ideas of who you are about to, whihc can be gutting if they arent who you were expecting. i tend, now, to meet peopple kinda fast - think its better. though i would also say the three boys i have really liked, i have been sure i would from the email/msn contact. they havent worked for other reasons. this isnt really helping, is it?

also - this makes it sounds like there have been hundreds. whihc isnt (quite) true. and i think i have known when it would go nowhere and have been 'practising'.

where are you gonna go? what are you gonna wear????

x

Lrkids · 05/10/2006 16:47

I don't know where we'll go, he passes nearby nearly everyday and keeps mentioning dropping in but i'm a bit unsure of letting him come round to my house when i've never met him in rl.
I don't know whether to ask if hes got time to meet in town for lunch one day or go to the cinema or pub one night. Need to make my mind up, I suppose lol.

hub2dee · 05/10/2006 22:26

tbh, I think if this kind of 'interest' / 'preference' comes out on the first date, in an atmosphere where you're not instantly overjoyed at the hint / opportunity, the guy probably has an 'unhealthy interest' / fetishistic obsession in some particular activity and would probably be best avoided (unless, as I've said, it floats your boat). It sounds kind of different to two people meeting, hitting it off, getting together and then developing, ahem, 'special interests' over time IYSWIM.

Anyway, good luck to all searching for someone vaguely normal and wonderful in equal measure, LOL.

turquoise · 05/10/2006 22:26

It would be brilliant to have an internet dating thread/subject on here - I've been on the Guardian one and it would be very good to be forewarned if any of the seemingly quite nice people I've chatted to are piss fiends . Your golden shower man wasn't from Suffolk or Ireland was he?

maggiesmama · 05/10/2006 22:33

neither. dont worry.
