alliebongo......Have checked the Toys R Us Universe of Imagination Catalogue for your DS. There are 2 pics of boys with hand held computer thingys. The scalectrx is done by an older boy than yours. However there is a pic of 2 boys with yellow tracks with loops in for matchbox cars to be played on......don't know if it is this you where refering to???? If you give me an e-mail address, I can scan and send these pics to you to check?

mummypip1 · 08/10/2006 21:45

Hi my 8 month old daughter has been accepted by Eurokids, does anyone know if they are any good? I have to pay £25 to get her photos done, is this normal procedure? xx

DarkAlleyBongo · 08/10/2006 21:56

thomp- feeling better now and cant sleep! i haven't heard the british isles thing will be televised yet i haven't asked the question either. yes my ds is going into the little mr british isles category next weekend. i now there is a couple of photographers there for the event who are doing the photos and we get to chose which 5 we want as our complimentary photos afterwards. i hope to get some nice pictures from this. Are you going?

good luck with your castings this week.forgot i have put my name down for helping out in my dds pre school tommorow so will prob feel like drinking again tommorow, yet not as much! i feel liek the weekend has flown by.

julie4travel · 08/10/2006 22:44

mummypip1- i am afraid i dont know anything on the agency yet that price is reasonable on the photos. is that not the initial assesment fee before a photoshoot fee? some people email various agencys to see which one is best for them (i did and took ages deciding!) Good luck in your decisions

thomp · 08/10/2006 23:12

hi julie,
glad you are feeling better.
No we did not apply for the pagent but sounds interesting. good luck with your ds

julie4travel · 08/10/2006 23:25

thanks thomp- suprised i am still up. what a waste of a day now i know why i dont drink that much that often! at least i did some bottle recycling!!!

thomp · 08/10/2006 23:34

ha ha - i know the feeling!
did you manage to get sponsership for the pageant? I think quite a few people fell at this hurdle.
Shame its not going to be on tv

julie4travel · 08/10/2006 23:41

thomp- my work is sponsoring. I didnt have a problem on that as i have to do marketing for the company and anyway of generating business and links to the website etc can only benefit! So I will be going armed with marketing material aswell to keep me busy in the morning. The lunch at the beginning of it is around 1 o clock so i will have plenty of time to put my stuff in its place!

thomp · 08/10/2006 23:47

thats good. At least you will have a fun day out. How old is your ds?

julie4travel · 08/10/2006 23:49

he is six, we r making more of a weekend of it and staying over - i think he will be in his element! logging off now as sleep is now hitting me night

thomp · 08/10/2006 23:50

Goooooooddddd moooorrrrnnnnniiiinnnngggg!

Haven't been in as nothing has been happening on the modelling front.

I wish we could start a thread of where our LOs are appearing. My post-it note reminder idea hasn't been working (dd peeled them all off the computer and chucked them!) and it is so easy to lose track!

Feeling a bit rubbish ATM. Hoping that this will blow over soon as I have my name down to a few employment agencies and will get back to wwwwwwoooorrrrkkkkkkk (AUGGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGH!) sometime after the half-term.

Going to wallow in some sickness self-pity. (Wink!)

mythumbelinas · 09/10/2006 11:32

morning all, morning pimms : Oh, the W word .. i'm dreading having to go back to work aswell, but i'm waiting at least another year!! Good luck with that
Thanks Lanismum for finding the pic of dd for me I'll be going Mothercare to pick up a stack of copies as soon as poss!
I'll have to pick up a copy of Sainsbury's and Asda too to see Quads kids and mrsratty aswell

I introduced my friend's ds to KL a couple of months ago. He's got his first job today for Littlewoods. He went to the casting last weds for babies

yackertyyack · 09/10/2006 11:45

Did anyone see the new 'calpol face' in the Daily Express yesterday??? They also had the old girl who is now 17 and has been on the packageing for all those years!!!
Anyway, DD had a casting this morning.....will let you know if she gets it!

ellismummy · 09/10/2006 12:38

Hi everyone, just got back from weekend in London with dh, it takes ages to read up on this thread! saw a comp in store if anyones interested, look on esprit.com/kids

EllieHsMum · 09/10/2006 13:07

Thanks to those of you who comments on my previous question. Is it normal for all agencies to ask each baby/child to attend interview? Does each agency do this for every applicant?
My daughter has been ask to attend for both Scallywags & Elisabeth Smith. Yourcomments wouldbewelcome.

ellesmum · 09/10/2006 13:29

hi ellieHsmum- most big agencies ask you in for an assesment interview, just to see how your child acts infront of the camera and to give you an opportunity to ask any questions about the agency. it is always good to ask to see a copy of their model book and ask what work they have done recently for the children on their books, ask for examples too.
hope that helps!

perfumelady · 09/10/2006 13:52
