Lost my engagement ring - where can it be?

Can't believe it. Feel quite bereft without it. It has adorned my hand for 15 years. I never take my rings off, so it has obviously got caught on something and come off (my rings have got loose recently as I have lost weight).

I am sure it is at home. So where should I look? I have just been through all the bedclothes and washing baskets etc. About to tackle the rubbish

H is not happy.

You must be gutted.
What about the U bend of the sinks when you've been washing your hands?

YeahBut · 30/09/2006 07:40

Has it been caught in the towel after showering?
Have a look in the shower tray / drain.

I know how you feel naswm, I lost mine at the park recently (in the sandpit of course) and my hand feels very bare. Hope you manage to find it.

FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was in the ironing pile

Hoorah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew it had to be somewhere at home. I am so aware of my rings, that I'm sure I would have noticed sooner if I had lost it yesterday when I was out.

Thanks for all the ideas.

PS Isnt it awful going through the kitchen rubbish bin?!?!

its so horrible when this happens...i got my dh great, great, great grannies 18ct platnum ring with a great big diamond in it, i was working in a fashion store taking wrappers from the stock all day, later that day i realised the diamond was missing and i was so gutted, my stomach was turning at the thought of going home to tell him, i got all the rubbish from the store and went through every bag, crawled about on every floor, i wouldnt let the cleaners hoover and the next day i found it on the stockroom floor...i couldnt believe it and still cant!! Its now insured!!

my friend's DD "borrowed " her engagement ring I(DD was about 2 at the time). Couldn't tell her where is was and my friend thought it might have gone down cracks in the floorboards - they never found it

sansouci · 30/09/2006 17:20
Hmm
dmo · 30/09/2006 18:15

how did it shatter?

sansouci · 02/10/2006 19:53

I think it had a flaw in it. bitchy of me to smirk but we didn't get on for many years.
