Was stopped at traffic lights the other day looked across and woman driving car next to me was sat with a dogged baby blanket on her lap, stroking it whilst she was waiting for the lights to change. Will anyone else admit to similar ?

was ther a dog in it - or a baby?

LIZS · 29/09/2006 18:35

Nope . I'd say she was early 20's at most , no sign of child or dog debris in car. Thought it was rather sweet and made me feel better

I don't have a comforter, but I do have to stroke the duvet and pillow in a certain way before I can get to sleep if that's any use?

I have been obsessed with corners on sheets/pillows etc since I was a baby and still fold covers over into a pointy corner and stoke my finger with it or tickle my nose with it. Sometimes don't realise I'm doing it till see amused look on DH face! He thinks it's v funny. Mum says I was onsessed with the collars on her shirts as a child so that must be where i got it from!

A glass of red wine...

I used to sleep with a bear, couldn't settle without him, until I got an even bigger comforter - dh. Even now, if we have to sleep apart for any reason I have to have a bear in the bed with me. The only exceptions to this have been when I was in hospital after giving birth each time - but then I had the baby in bed with me instead.

Sort of... I own it still, but it is in the bottom of my wardrobe.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 03/10/2006 14:17

No but I had a bad dream the other week and had to get one of DD's teddy bears to cuddle me back to sleep! Didn't see the point of waking up DH.

alibobble · 03/10/2006 17:26

oh forgot to mentin I have a teddy sheep that still sleeps in bed with me despite having DH! It doesn't kick, cough or nick the covers!

TarkaTheHeadlessOtter · 03/10/2006 17:32

I suck my thumb - and not a little - a lot and all the time - i am 39 next week its not good

Jbck · 03/10/2006 18:42

Always had a Tigger in bed with me but DH packed him up when we put our house up for sale 2.5 years ago & he's still in the loft. DD 'lends' me a teddy when I go away on business to cuddle cos I don't have her for a bedtime cuddle. When DH is on nightshift I sometimes lift DD & bring her in beside me if I'm not getting up for work next day.
