if poaching in water then add splash lemon juice and about 6 peppercorns and a bay leaf

I think poaching is best

you can also pan fry it or wrap in silver foil and oven bake it

Salmon with bones is a real fag to eat, imo. I always buy skinless, boneless salmon fillets.

I like them oven roasted with pesto (200 degrees for about 15 minutes)

Put it on a plate, cover with clingfilm and zap it in the microwave for a couple of minutes, depending on the wattage of your m/w.

I really don't like boiled fish

FoghornLeghorn · 29/09/2006 12:24

Steamed ? We always do ours in the George Foreman

FoghornLeghorn · 29/09/2006 12:25

'tis a bitch to clean afterwards though

Twiglett · 29/09/2006 12:25

NDP salmon different though

if fluffs up and has a delicate flavour .. in the oven it goes a bit oily I find

what shape is your fillet by the way .. if its straight cut it probably won't have many bones .. if its a cross section of the fish - the oval shape it will

CountessDracula · 29/09/2006 12:28

dip it in flour and pan fry it

Kiwiem · 29/09/2006 12:28

I'd flash fry it with sea salt and pepper - hot pan so it's just cooked. Yum, time for lunch...

thanx everyone. have cooked it in the microwave and it was surprisingly very nice

there were a few bones but not many.
ate it with veg and i feel oh so healthy now
