Is this realistic?

I have been planning to open a nursery.

I found out that the local school wants a nursery on site - I offered to open my nursery on their site (in July)

They asked me to do a business plan, a presentation and then a question and answer session

I have done everything they asked and they have said we will have a meeting on 9th Oct, we will tell you yes; no; or maybe; after that. 'Maybe' implys a village wide survey

I feel if I don't have the govenors full support by the meeting on the 9th, I should give up & go elsewhere.

Is that fair/realistic/reasonable?

I would have thought you need at least the majority of the govenors behind you.

Have you already thought about alternative locations ? It would be worth doing the groundwork at least - otherwise your timescale will be pushed back, and you may end up wasting all your hard work so far.

Good luck - hope it goes well.

That's what I thought

Without their full support - it seems fairly pointless
