Computer help please!!

My PC keeps freezing as it goes into sleep mode. Any bright technically minded people got any suggestions why?? It is driving me mad as it has happened 5 times to day.

My computer did weird things, it kept going to standby. I ended up getting a new power supply and its been much better since.
I am sure there is a setting that tells it to go to sleep if inactive for X amount of time. Let me see if I can find out where it is though!

start > control panel > power options >
and then select from there what you want your computer to do. Mine is set to never hibernate.

But is that OK? I always feel it should go off!

I turn my computer off when I have finished using it. I only ever leave it on if its defragmenting or scanning for a virus.

Right. Well it's still freezing. Not going into hibernation anymore but still freezing EVERY time I leave it for a while.

Help! Am about to throw damn thing out the window!
