DS2 has been a PITA today. I finally had had enough and put him to bed a little earlier than usual at 6.15 pm. (hes 18 months).

All went quiet ... ahhhh bliss. Settled down to MN and a well earned drink

Then he started again and he screamed and screamed . After about 30 mins I had had enough "OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! NOW WHAT???!" I yelled as I stamped upstairs and stormed into his bedroom .......

only to find the poor little mite had his leg jammed in the cot bars He looked very sad and uncomfortable. I finally managed to free him (after a little tugging while having wild visions of having to call the fire brigade to cut him loose). He rubbed his knee, frowned at me and turned over and went to sleep.

Awww.... But he's ok though, if he wasn't he wouldn't have turned over and gone to sleep..!!

We all have days like this, believe me somedays our dd pushes me to the limits ahnd she's only 16 months ol.! God help me when she is 16 years!! .

All will be forgotten by the morning and you will both be your bright cheery selves. xx

At least he didn't climb out of the cot and split his lip like my dd did at his age

Yes I was also shocked. That's the last time she ever slept in that cot.

redshoes · 27/09/2006 19:57

One of mine did that too Belgo. Grobags the answer for us!

IM laughing as i read this as it brought back memories. ds was in bed one night and started screaming and like you i stomped up the stairs to find out that he had his leg stuck in the safety rail of bunk bed!!! Dh had to get drill out to release leg. Funny now but not at the time. Just thinking bout fire engine full of firemen turning up at my door

princessmel · 27/09/2006 21:09

The child I collect from school did have to be rescued by firemen from his bedroom one night. His door got jammed and his mum called fire brigade and they rammed the door down. He was about 6.

I have done the same, have gone into the bedroom and discovered dt1 covered in blood from a nose bleed.

I god this has happened to me on several times - no trapped legs mind you but similar "bad things" - illness, being sick, the cat locked in the bedroom - I could go on! I feel a visit from SS!

poppiesinaline · 27/09/2006 21:56

actually this has reminded me, one of my RL friends said she ignored her 3 year old yelling and yelling one evening. When she eventually could stand no more and went upstairs, she had climbed up a ladder that had been out cos they were decorating and was stuck

redshoes: - grobags are unfortunately not the answer as dd has been an expert escapologist since the age of eight months.
