I know this is a strange question... but... how long are your baby's arms?

Ds has by all appearances a skeletal dysplasia. One part of that is that he has short limbs.
I'm not sure though how short they are really. So I would like to know how long your baby's arms are. How far do they reach? Can they touch their belly button? Their genitals? Do they go to the top of their thighs, or half-way down their thighs? And what about legs - can your baby put their foot in their mouth with ease?

TIA everyone!

emkana, here is a page giving "standard" measurements for babies of various ages. I've found them to be v good.

my 18 month old can touch her genitals when reaching down

she can't touch her opposite ear when reaching over her head

she can put her foot in her mouth but she has to grab and put it there
if I fold her legs up then her toe touches her nose

DD is 9mths and her hands can rest next to her upper thigh when lying down. She can put her feet in her mouth.

I'm quite chuffed now because I just measured ds's chest and it's above average in size, which is good news because chest size was a concern during pregnancy.
(why has no doctor bothered to measure this btw?)
