Hi, probably going to sound really useless, but DP has agreed to some (desperately needed!) home improvements so long as i organise everything. We need....

*coving putting up in the front room
*a replacement upstairs banister so DS can't crawl through the gap and hurl himself down the stairs
*an outside porch building
*all the kitchen cabinets to have the baby-proofing gear properly fitted
*the new worktops and laminate flooring in the kitchen to be finished off properly.

Where do i start?!? Do i need a builder, or a carpenter, or a general handy-man, or all 3? And can anyone recommend anyone in South East Kent (Dover area)? Thanks x

I think two different people

  1. Coving, bannister, worktop & Laminate - competant carpenter/handy man

  2. porch - builder & potentially planning permission

  3. do the baby stuff yourself - it's easy
