OK...deep breaths...The dishwasher won't start.

It did this the other day, then seemed fine again. When I press start..it doesn't.

Does this sound fixable/expensive? It's not that old, but out of guarantee I think.

Fiddle with the dial, that sometimes helps if it is an electrical fault.

Had a fiddle - no joy.

Is the filter basket full ??

HOORAY...It's goingI don't care what gets broken here as long as the dishwasher and washing machine work!

Fiddled some more, then scrubbed out the filter as suggested by LGJ(well done!) switched it all off then on again and it worked. Filter wasn't bad though - just a couple of bits of corn and a bean in it.

Bit strange - I notice it is still in guarantee though. Phew.
