naughty girl...hide the crumbs...you'll have to buy more(what a shame!!!!!!)>

deegward · 06/04/2004 21:30

Twiglett, you obviously didn't read what I did two weeks ago, I ate dss' chocolate bunnies (x2). Replaced them, and then ate them again. Haven't bothered to replace for 3rd time, although bought some eggs for egg hunt, and mysteriously they are disappearing, at the same rate as my tum is expanding. Very interesting !!!!!

Hulababy · 06/04/2004 21:31

LOL Twiglett. I have been eyeing up DD's. She'd never know!!!!!!

You could always replace it.

MadameButterfly · 06/04/2004 21:32

DD got and egg from Toddler group last week.
I can't eat it as I have given up chocolate for Lent

Slinky · 06/04/2004 21:33

LOL

I have to confess too.......bought some Cadburys Easter Mix (small versions of Creme/Caramel/Dream/Crunchie Eggs) yesterday so that I do the kids Easter Egg hunt on Sunday...

well......I started nibbling them today and then DH and I have just finished them off with a nice cup of tea - oooops

Oh well....I do feel a bit sick now, so perhaps thats my punishment.

Angeliz · 06/04/2004 21:33

I also ate DD's cadbury cream easter egg! She hasn't even realised yet!

eddm · 06/04/2004 22:30

PMSL at this. Ds too small for chocolate antics yet but look forward to joining you soon

Lisa78 · 06/04/2004 22:33

I am humbled by all these messages. What good, brave mothers you are - I know how horrendous it is to force chocolate down, the awful taste of it, the calories you want to avoid and so on.
But to do it anyway, simply to protect your children's teeth... Well, the sheer sacrifice of your actions takes my breath away. Motherhood at its shining best

deegward · 06/04/2004 22:34

My sentiments exactly.

kiwisbird · 06/04/2004 22:52

and you have til Friday to buy a replacement
I've done it loads in DS life
sweets he forgot he had, easter egs he never knew he got
Darling you were saving him from the evils of chocolate, you are selfless

SoupDragon · 07/04/2004 08:23

I ate DSs christmas selection packs too. They simply would NOT have properly appreciated a Wispa bar and were more than happy with the small pack of choccy stars I substituted for the whole pack.

I also don't think that DS2 will like the "mallow and chocolate sauce" egg he found in his nursery egg hunt yesterday but I think I'll have to let him try it as he knows about it and may ask.

Fennel · 07/04/2004 08:33

Excellent news out today about how we HAVE to eat chocolate while pregnant for our baby's health.

guardian article

hurrah!

mummysurfer · 07/04/2004 08:43

don't worry about it - you've done them a big favour as too much chocolate is bad for them.

Bozza · 07/04/2004 09:12

Well I'm peeved. DS has not even got any Easter eggs for me to eat. He is obviously a neglected child.

Did send DH out to buy a packet of mini eggs to stick inside a raffia nest on top of his Easter bonnet and only put 4 in the nest. So obviously I ate the rest but that was a fair reward for my labours and having a kitchen covered in glitter.

Thomcat · 07/04/2004 13:25

Last year I gave every single one of her eggs to under privaliged young mothers club and intend to do the same this year.

eidsvold · 07/04/2004 14:26

twiglett just remind your self about the latest study that shows mothers who eat chocolate whilst pregnant produce happier babies

marthamoo · 07/04/2004 14:57

I've been eating the kids' mini eggs all day - just keep shoving another few in my mouth every time I walk past.
