Help me!!! What has happened to my computer :(

I have no idea what is wrong.

I logged on this evening and it comes up with an error message when trying to load Windows, saying it can't load up my local profile. It will only load a temporary one. I don't have any of my settings and can't get to my documents/pictures.

My broadband IS working, but I am not on Internet explorer anymore - it has brought up msn, and I had to log into MSN in order to do so.

What can I do to rescue my computer?

I always call my boss & plead inocently. He normally comes & sorts me out.

That should be sorts the computer out.

Sounds like your profile is corrupt. Your profile is in C:\Documents and settings \your name. All your documents will be in their in a folder called My documents.

Other ssettings you may have to resetup tbh.

Am sure ther is a way to get your settings back but tbh I cant remember how. Havent sorted otu a profile in ages. sorry

Have you got system restore on your system.

Are you sure you can't call your boss?

Import a new browser - Download.com do them I use Mozilla Firefox and it is alot more stable then Internet Explorer. There is also loads of free security things too... try them

Hey I made it with a link!!!

Sorry - went away to sort it, then DH got home.

Have had to recreate a new profile, as existing one is corrupt. Found and moved all my ocuments and my pictures . Also fud and moved the Itunes stuff. Have got my IE and favourites back.

Only think now not owrking at all is Outlook So, no e-mail, no contacts and no calender at moment
