Anyone else's mum like this? It's little things but they add up, I know she does it with a good heart but I keep telling her to stop... And she doesn't listen.

She keeps buying us horrible processed foods, to 'help' with dinners, I keep asking her not to...

It's my child's birthday soon, she's already told me Shes bought most of the party food but it's stuff I really didn't want and had already bought most of it!

Iv asked to do my own hospital bag due to allergies and I know the things I want, plus I don't like to do this till towards the end so not to jinx it.... She's already bought everything I need. Half of the body washes etc I can't use and she tells me not to be so silly.

Keeps taking my daughter out and feeding her mcdonalds, bringing her in mcdonalds as well as greggs, cakes etc... I ask her not too as I like her to eat healthy with the odd treat, I just get told not to be so controlling and let her eat what she wants.

I might sound really ungrateful, I'm not, I know she does it to be kind, but I feel like I can't do anything for myself... How do you tell them to stop, and mean it, without sounding horrible?

Gosh, that sounds incredibly annoying, do you see a lot of her, could you reduce her input into your lives a little?
I'm sure better advice will be along soon but she needs to back off and let you be the adult, maybe put all unwanted stuff that she buys to one side and give it back to her with/ wothout an explanation.

Oh I love her to bits, we see each other about 2/3 times a week, you wont believe I'm 25 if I said we can't even go for a day out without her texting every hour or so to make sure I'm safe, asking why we're home so late etc... I moved out aged 20, when I said its driving us crazy.. She said 'but it's a mum thing' sigh...
