I have no self respect left. Dd1's bus stop is only about 1.5 miles away. At least it's not busy. Had no reception on my mobile, and toddler in PJs in the back. Also 2 more children at home in bed who got up late as a result. Toddler now whining - 1st week of pre-school plus daddy away working combination. Had to ask in-laws to drive 5 miles to come and pick up nos 2 and 3 and take them to school.
The kitten has upturned a bowl of custard waiting to go in the dishwasher and is now sticky and a bit yellow. It's all high powered exciting stuff in our house today!

One of those days where it feels good to be alive, eh, swedishmum? Is it too early for a drink?

SoupDragon · 21/09/2006 13:01

essbee once had a minor car accident on the school rn in her PJs

Much calmer now. Apart from dd3 throwing pumpkin seeds all over the house (she's hyper after her first ever ballet lesson) everything's back to normal, and my car's fixed. Am holding off on the wine till after the supermarket!

but why do you put custard in your dishwasher?

swedishmum · 21/09/2006 21:40

Will be totally co-ordinated tomorrow - will even wear tights and heels! Have now resorted to red wine. I put custard in my dishwasher becauseI am too much of a slut to rinse the bowl out first. I'll definitely never be an Anthea!

lol sm! Good day then?!

swedishmum · 21/09/2006 21:51

Getting better by the minute! If I didn't laugh about it I'd probably climb in the shoe cupboard and cry about how mundane my life has become. AND I have to miss my first ever MN meetup tomorrow to go to a funeral. Life, eh?

Oh dear - how inconsiderate of someone to die when you have a prior engagement!
But seriously, hope it's not someone desperately close and that it goes ok.

Can only imagine how you cope with so many by yourself during the week. 1 is hard enough work!

swedishmum · 21/09/2006 21:56

How's your gorgeous baby csws? Sleeping better?

LOL SM, cheered up my lonely evening

Better than she was thankfully, but don't think she'll ever be great at it! She's crawling already though, and has started pulling herself to standing a bit too. Reckon she'll be walking by the time she's 9 months at this rate (she's nearly 7.5 now).

Oh, and still gorgeous .

swedishmum · 21/09/2006 22:11

None of mine seem to need much sleep - I keep telling myself it's a sign of intelligence

We use that to make ourselves feel better too. Pure genius .
