It never ceases to amaze me the experts on here....so I've been puzzeling aout ponytails(sad!) and where else to come but here???

How do you get a super smooth ponytail? - (rather like Katie on Emmerdale) - soo smooth on top, and underneath, mine look rather lumpy.
My 7 yr old DD is despereate for a supersmooth pony tail
Any experts??

Spray a big paddle brush with hairspray and use that to drag the hair back into the ponytail.

It is also better not to wash the hair so much!! (Yuck!!)

My sister always did her ponytails with her head bent over so she was doing it upside down if you know what I mean. They always seemed to look perfect!

My dd6 has almost afro hair and i get a nice smooth pony tail on her by spraying her hair with a plant sprayer with a blob of conditioner and loads of water mixed together in it, leave in conditioner lets call it! then scraping it back smooth and it stays nice all day at school. If i dont do that she comes out with a mop head, cant see her face for hair and a new nest of nits from her lovely school friends!

Either Tony and guy shine spray, or a blob of condioner, or straightners. Also when it is up grab one mini strand of hair and wrap it round the bobble, that always neatens it up.

Cheers - I'll try "goop" and straigteners....
much appreciated
