I feel so strange without dd2

DD2 started full time school yesterday, its so strange without her. I am bored and have nothing to do... there is only so much cleaning you can do....

I still find it hard being without dd, and she's just started Year 1. Every time she goes back after a half-term I get very down for a couple of weeks - I still hate it. I console myself with the fact that she loves it, she's getting heaps out of it, and I can at least watch Fern and Phillip in the mornings without her constantly whinging for CBeebies

When I'm finding it really hard I try and do some of the things that are difficult to do when dd is here. I get my hair cut, have a waxing (I'd prefer a massage but can't afford one!), sit in Starbucks for an hour with a cup of coffee and a book. It passes - you may never really like it, but it doesn't always feel as bad as it does at first.

sparkly, give yourself a goal. Go to the gym and decide you're going to get so fit you'll run a 10k or something! I need goals every week - at the moment it involves decorating. God, how dull.......right, I'm depressed now.

Its because I have a child with me for the last 9 years. Its never bothered me when Ds and dd1 started full time school as I still had dd2...

thing is there is still boxes that need unpacking from when we moved at the start of the summer holidays, but because my cat is still in a cage in my bedroom I can't use that space for all my books and things...

2 words - Adult education! Go and do some daytime hobby course at your local college.
Or if you have no car or spare money, take up running (to Starbucks if poss).
