Hi hope you can help. My wife is pregnant with are 3rd chilled and I want to give her an eternity ring a couple of days after my daughter is born.
The problem is I made a pigs ear of asking her to marry me. Was hoping to make this time specials. Hope some one can help with some ideas because I am useless at this type of thing.

Let me offer a (possibly helpful) trotter.

Pig's ear and she still married you? And you're at DC3?

Don't worry - she likes you!

Now if you don't know her taste in jewellery, you need to choose a ring together if you want her to love it and wear it frequently (exception if her engagement/wedding ring are a set and there's a matching eternity ring to complete it).

You need to know her (non pregnant) ring size too, so unless you can 'borrow' one that normally fits that's another reason to hold off an eternity ring until you can choose together (which can still be romantic,if you surprise her with a shopping trip on a suitable landmark day post natally).

But you can still make a romantic present on the day of the birth. How about earrings and pendant necklace (so three stones to mark three children)? Sizing won't matter, and you can choose stones of any colour she likes as it won't need to match rings so closely as they aren't worn adjacently. Do you know if she prefers silver/white gold/platinum or yellow gold?

Thank you for advice Auntiestella. It has to be white gold to go with everything. I know which ring I'm getting and size to match her wedding ring. She has done so much for me and been through so much having are kids and want to make this so special for her. But I will now be looking for a nice neckless with 3 stones because I think that is an amazing idea.
