My daughter measures as a 6 1/2 in startrite or 7 in clarks both in a e width. We have tried on shoes in these fitting in both shops but they are comming up too wide. We live in Basingstoke, Hampshire anyone have any ideas.

i got this exact same thing, its a real pain in the a*se! How old is she? my dd2 is 14 and 7d/e. Italian shoes are the narrowest. I have to buy from one of those normal trendy shoe shops - foot locker? can't remember exact name but its in Reading. dead expensive but then so is startrite n clarks but at least they're made better. There's also some online narrow shoe places. i'll see if i can find any names.

Urban legend has it that Doodles shrink after washing...

Can't they rder a d fitting for you to try in Startrite ? Look out for brands such as Elefanten, Richter and Ricosta which tend to come up narrower - independent shoe shops and occasionally John Lewis stock them. dd had the smae problem but is now a Startrite d/e fit. Clarks are a hopeless fit on her.

Doodles are ok for summer but with winter comming her feet might get vwery wet. will phone some shops to see if they stock Elefanten or Richter and Ricosta shoes. Thanks
