a really close friend with really bold children. I swear they are like something out of Supernanny, the 'before' versions. They are 4 and 2 and they are crazy. They bully my lo and they destroy my house. The worst thing is I don't think my friend takes any notice. She certainly doesn't tell them off even when they are killing eachother, throwing tantrums, throwing food and toys and generally causing havoc. I would love to arrange days out with her and all the kids but it's just too much hard work.

What do you do when they misbehave in your home? Am I right in thinking that you have 1 child and she has 2?

VeronicaMars · 17/09/2006 15:33

Yep I have one and she has two. I don't really say much, it would be constant if I did because everytime you turn around they're doing something or other. I know she would be very offened if I did comment or give out.

Well, its your house, so your rules. Maybe if you start to indicate what you house rules are, she might follow your lead?

I have to say, looking after one child is very much different to looking after two.

Perhaps you should arrange a nice day out - somewhere with lots of open space for them to run around. IT may be that they are just bored anyway.

I know someone who has wild children.
Once they jumped behind me and started kicking me in the back.
So I shouted at them to never ever do that again to me,. At which she accused meof being abusive and having a quick almost psychotic temper, and spread it around my other friends aswell.
Well, I don't have any contact with her anymore.
Last that I heard, she has changed her children's schools three times, and her children have a reputation for being unruly, and a bad school record. She also maintained that her children were badly behaved and there was notheing she could do about it, but she never even tried. She is ruining their lives. It is the kids who will suffer. Sad, really.
I think you shuld say something to the mother, maybe she just need a little help, but is embarrassed to ask.
I bet she is absolutely shattered.
