Tesco codes

Though - be warned - I had to try several the other day before I could find one that worked and then could only get a fiver off (I feel I've failed unless I get £10 - £15 off )

shhhh · 17/09/2006 10:58

mmwwahhh soupy..!!!

Thanks again. xx

Damn, that dragon's fast.

JoolsToo · 17/09/2006 11:06

mmm- codes very thin on the ground at present

shhhh · 17/09/2006 11:08

She's on fire.. sorry I couldn't resist.

Well that was a waste as no codes work . Think Tesco must be getting on the ball with these codes thingys..hey ho...

Thanks for trying anyone. xx

I think Tesco are cottoning on too - I had two codes for £15 that my friend sent me. Used one, no problem - tried to use the other last week and it had miraculously transformed into 1p off my shopping In the words of Ricky Gervais' sitcom character in Extras - "they're 'avin a larf..."

shhhh · 17/09/2006 11:17

1p . Now that is taking the urine..!

i often see messages on tesco codes and realise they are not as easy to use anymore. i would really like to get more points to take ds out a bit more - it there a way i can mount up some points instead of cash off. thanks

crunchie · 17/09/2006 11:36

I used one I got off moneysaving expert site. It was for 1000 points. Now that is £10 in vouchers or £40 in offers IYKWIM I did this last year once or twice as I don't usually shop in tesco (the odd bit of lunch-hour stuff) and I ended up paying for our ferry this summer holiday (I think I had about £150 off in the end!! or about £40 in vouchers)

Ooh I've just seen a 1500 point off £100 spend, so if I save up the loo roll/washing powder etc I should manage that That would give me £25 in vouchers (or a eurostar ticket!!)

I think that is worth doing, I promised DH I would save as many as poss for holidays

shhhh · 17/09/2006 20:53

thing is crunchie...those codes are not valid..! Its annoying I know but I sat for around an hour this morning searching for codes off different sites.Sure they have a valid date but all I kept getting is "out of date" or "code incorrect" Not one of the codes worked for extra points ie 1000 extra points and not even the codes for £5 off shopping worked..grrrr..

Hey ho, next week it looks like I am back to going into the store as its not as benifical shopping online..TBH they aren't really doing anything to promote and to keep people shopping online..esp when delivery is around £5.!!

look on money saving expert then. Those codes are valid (do a search in forums and you will see they are from the last day or two)

louiselouise · 22/09/2006 15:41

Another Tesco website that I use can be found here. I just used a 1000 point code from there.

Plus they have another page that includes vouchers for Tesco, Sainsburys and Waitrose here.

shhhh · 24/09/2006 15:28

louiselouise, none worked for me . Crunchie, ME was one of the sites I found when googling..no luck there either..Hey ho. Thanks anyway.

shhhh I have just checked the £15, 1000 points and 750 points codes as shown on the savacode website . They all worked. What message do you get when you try the code.
If it is:
"voucher has been used the maximum number of times" that means you have used the code already. Your only answer is to open another Tesco account using a different email account.
If it is:
"Sorry, the code 'xx1234' could not be accepted. The code may be invalid, could have been mistyped or might be only for use in another store (e.g. you cannot use grocery eCoupons on books orders). Ref: EC01" this means the code is invalid either because of where you live or because you are not in the right department of Tesco. e.g. in books rather than grocery. HTH.

shhhh · 24/09/2006 20:20

I get both message for differnt vouchers codes...Even when it says its already been used, when I know I haven't.! Maybe its watching me and what discounts I am getting .

I think it would be hard to open another tesco account as I only have my email address..mmm unless I use dh's..Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi there
I have come across a website for Tesco codes that seems to work really well. It might be worth taking a look www.tescodiscountcodes.co.uk

dmito01 · 02/10/2006 20:15

Hi. I use the Baby Business Center Tesco Codes Page

www.babybusinesscenter.com/tesco.html

They regularly update their codes and are grocery codes focussed rather than wine, etc.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2006 20:17

I assumed the "maximum number of times" error meant loads of people had used it, not just you.

mother3 · 09/05/2007 10:13
